If rumours swirling around Parliament Hill in Ottawa are true, then Canadians should be called to vote in the 44th Canadian federal election late this summer of early next fall, just days before this Parliament blows its second candle in October. Crunching the numbers over the weekend, the only question that kept popping in my head is: "Why?"
Both the Bloc Québécois and the NDP hold the balance of power in a LPC-lead Parliament, hence neither party should feel any hurry to rush Canadians to the polls since both parties find themselves at their height of relevance. Time can feel like an eternity as a third or fourth party in a majority parliament.
